Long Distance Travel

How far can I travel in a hr day (I will walk for mins / hr) ?
Assumptions
Move This is your encumbered move from your character sheet. Or the encumbered move of your mount/cart.
Step move / 4 for a two-legged creature (man on foot)
move / 8 for a four-legged creature (horses, etc.) Why? 'Cause it works.
Miles per day I assume that you rest 10 minutes every hour, thus you travel 50 minutes every hour.
step * 60 seconds per minute (hexes per minute)
* minutes walking per hour (hexes per hour)
/ 1760 hexes(yds) per mile (miles per hour)
* nHrs hours walking per day (miles per day)
* % corrected for terrain (miles per day)
Carts see Land Vehicles

Example
pleb soldier ST:10, IQ:10, DX:10, HT:10
He is 'lightly' encumbered (the rest is on the supply cart), move=4. Every hour he takes 2 fatigue and recovers 1 during rest: net -1 fatigue per hour. After 5 hours marching, he takes a 30 minute rest. He's accrued -5 fatigue and recovers +3: net -2 fatigue. After 4 more hours of marching he is at half move (3 fatigue remaining), and at the end of the day he collapses with only 2 fatigue remaining. He's accrues 1 Long-Term fatigue for the day and recovers all the short-term fatigue with the nights rest. He's travelled 17 on an average road today.
modern hiker ST:10, IQ:10, DX:10, HT:10
He is 'lightly' encumbered (a casual hiker won't carry more), move=4. Every hour he takes 2 fatigue and recovers 1 during rest: net -1 fatigue per hour. After 3 hours hiking, he takes a 60 minute rest. He's accrued -3 fatigue and recovers all of it. After 6 hours of hiking he's covered 10.2 miles of trail (Very Bad road in Average terrain).

Another approach is to find your walking speed in mph times the number of hours you will walk and then deduct a movement cost in miles per hex on the map. So if a hex is , you the costs are...
