| The outer brown husk is cracked off, revealing the white rice. Each batch is pounded for about 10 - 15 minutes. Then, the batch is placed onto a weaved basket ...where the women sift out the husk from the white rice. This process is repeated several times until all the husks are removed, leaving only white rice. |
