Hello Gamers!

Seems like we're starting up in my world again. We're still in Constantinople and here's how things are shaking out. Joe is giving you the option of cashing out here, so your options are:

  1. take the Mage road home "The fast way".
  2. stay with Joe.
  3. take the prize ship and go off adventuring.
  4. stay here in Constantinople

From a GM's point of view I would like Lon here for the Mage Road adventure, but.....I expect him back sometime before the next presidential election....

Cashing out you would receive:

The loot from Roger is yours and not counted here.

Joe will accept $100,000 for the prize ship.

Prize Ship maintenance:
Pay Maintenance (food, rum, etc.)
Officers $14 / day $7 / day
Crew $7 / day $ 3 / day
Ship maintenance $ 100 / day
Minimum crew is 10. Comfortably holds 20, max 40.
As long as maintenance is paid things are OK.

Lon's response ...

Guierrmo - Since Joe has offered an honorable way to leave his service, Guierrmo will take it. Guierrmo will follow Roderigo whom he sees as his new liege lord (trading his Disadvantage - Loyalty to Trader Joe to Loyalty to Roderigo).

Enrico - Enrico may also cash out. He is excited about the opportunities as an officer on the prize ship. He thinks he can captain it (Overconfidence) but eventually someone would persuade him that he must go up the ranks like anyone else. Maybe we hire someone (Jeremy?) as the captain. He's Impulsive, so he'd want to strike out on his own. But this is offset by his loyalty to Trader Joe. If Enrico does leave Trader Joe, he'd have to buy off the Loyalty to Trader Joe disadvantage or trade it for a new one.

Dave, I think I remember that 200hrs of training gives 1 xp in a skill. At 8 hrs / day you'd get one pt per month (25 days). Do Enrico et. al. get xp for the time that they were sailing from Barcelona on? The relevant skills I found were: Seamanship, Sailor, Shiphandling, Navigation, and Leadership. Some are found in the Compedium. Do you agree with ... ?
