Concept: - the characters are criminals that are given the option to
earn the money to buy off their fine by fighting in the Grand Arena as
summoned help.
Rules
your first characters (4) - create one each at: 20pts, 40pts, 80pts, and 100pts.
no disadvantages - we're exploring combat situations. Which also means you don't need to buy any social skills.
each character starts with a sarong and some kind of club, i.e. a
crushing poor quality stick equivalent of your weapon of choice. E.g. if you have:
the shortsword skill, you would have a baton,
2H sword skill -- a 2H club
2H Axe/Mace -- select the weapon you would wish to have and call it crushing (cr) damage. It will have the same weight, reach and unbalance-ness.
bow -- too bad. you get a stick
when your character enters the Arena, calculate your fine: 3d6 * $100
after each scenario, the GM will give out xp, or more accurately cash ($). You can buy xp at $50 per xp.
tip: buy some equipment first (armor!), then you might live long enough to buy xp. But you can also start buying your way out...
If a character dies, you can replace him with another beginning character (no equipment) at -20% pt value.
If a character buys his way out, you can replace him with another beginning character (no equipment) at +20% pt value.
Also, when you create a character on this website, assign him to Lon's "Grand
Arena" campaign. This will make the appropriate skills and equipmnet show up
in the character editor.
