Gareth (Lon's character)
The rest of the year Gareth spends with his family on their farm. Gareth's tends to by shy around people and he has been taught to think and carefully consider his words before speaking. The result is that the rest of the kids in town think he's dumb. Gareth also has no real sense of humor; he takes what people say very literally. This has made him an easy target for the pranks of the village kids. Grandpa Pawpads is a "Tree Hugger" and has impressed this Code of Honor onto Gareth. He will not kill an animal except to eat or in self-defense. He places the health of the forest above human needs. Clearing forest for farming is very wrong. Cutting down a tree for any reason other than the overall health of the forest is wrong. Generally let the trees compete among themselves, but cut down a diseased tree if it cannot be cured. If a farmer clears land, either by cutting or burning, Gareth will try and convince the farmer of the error of his ways. If the farmer remains unconvinced, the it is perfectly acceptable to kill him before he can do it again.

22 Aug(late Fall) - Gareth meet Mantis (Arthur), a monk
from the nearby monastary, Thalena (Cynthia), a
local bratty teenager/thief, and Vinay (palmate), a the son of the
'foreign' woman and a fighter. We each get our 'inheritance' from our
family/mentor and set off to find the treasure in the nearby
bandit-infested caverns. [starting character: 75pts, earn 3pts - Enhanced PER]
29 Jul - Kill some orcs and find Gascon in ruins. Mantis gets shot by something. [Hates Orcs: -10pts] 5 Aug - We loot Gascon and then head down the road to Juno. Pix meets us to say that orcs are in her cave. We follow her. That night we meet (20th C. soldiers) that shoot at us during a parley. They were dangerous so we stop following them and head on to Juno. It starts getting cold. [5pts] 19 Aug - The adventurers go to Juno. They (Vinay) speak warn the town concil of the coming Garm horde. A mage member of the council teleports to the next big town (Strassburg). When we don't here back from him, we volunteer to travel by foot to that town to see what is happenning. Tra'shren, the son of the elvish ambassador joins us. A blizzard blows through during the night. [2pts] 26 Aug - We go to the next big town which we find abandoned, but with bad magic that tried to trap us. The people have been killed and then re-animated; the Garm army marching toward Par has grown by the 30,000 inhabitants. We meet a devil, DeMaris (?) that did the reanimation. She freely provides a lot of info, supposedly so that we will help to free her. She teleports us to Par. [10pts] 2 Sep - We speak with a big mage in Par to warn of the approaching Garm army. The cityfolk are all getting sick (as are we) from some unknown, incurable sickness. As we wander into twon we fight and capure one of the marines that we had seen outside of Gascon. [10pts] |
